Cinqo III is a data-first watch face for Garmin Connect IQ devices. Instead of locking you into a fixed layout, it gives you 3 graph slots and 8 text fields that can each be assigned to any of over 100 available data points — from steps and heart rate to weather and moon phase — so the face always shows exactly what matters to you.
Fill 3 graph slots and 8 text fields from over 100 data points — activity, health, weather, sun & moon, and more.
Compact bar graphs for steps, distance, floors, calories, heart rate, body battery, stress, elevation, pressure and temperature — by week or by weekday.
Two independent color themes that switch automatically at sunrise/sunset (or times you set), each with its own background, accent, value and line colors.
Choose Garmin's built-in weather, OpenWeatherMap, QWeather or MET Weather, with automatic background refresh.
Subscribe to NightScout to show blood glucose readings on the face.
The face is built from two rows of graph slots at the top and a ring of text fields around the dial, separated by a customisable grid of lines. Each element can be repositioned in meaning (not position) by simply assigning it a different data source in Settings.
Cinqo III automatically switches between two independent color themes at sunrise and sunset (using your saved GPS location), or at custom times you define. Each theme has its own set of colors:
| Color | Description |
|---|---|
| Background | The face background color. |
| Primary | Accent color used for icons and highlights. |
| Values | Color used for the text of data field values. |
| Lines | Color of the decorative line grid. |
The font used for values can be switched between the watch's System font, Roboto or Rajdhani. On devices with an always-on / low-power display mode, you can choose how much of the face stays visible:
| Option | Behaviour |
|---|---|
| Off | An empty screen is shown in low-power mode, to save the most battery. |
| Only time | Only the time is shown while the watch is in low-power mode. |
| Show all fields | The full face, with all data fields, remains visible in low-power mode. |
The face has two independent groups of customizable elements, set from Garmin Connect IQ app settings:
n/a placeholder described in Troubleshooting.
Where a progress bar is listed, it is shown only when Show progress bars is enabled in settings (see Settings below).
Weather fields (current conditions, high/low temperature, precipitation, humidity, AQI, pressure and wind) can be sourced from any of four providers:
| Provider | Notes |
|---|---|
| Garmin | Uses the weather data already synced to your watch through Garmin Connect — no API key needed. |
| OpenWeatherMap | Requires a free personal API key, entered in settings. |
| QWeather | Alternative provider, useful in regions with better QWeather coverage. |
| MET Weather | Data from the Norwegian Meteorological Institute. |
The update interval is configurable, and sunrise/sunset can optionally be taken from the weather provider instead of being calculated locally. Weather requires Internet connectivity through your paired phone.
Cinqo III can pull data from third-party sources and show it directly as a face field:
Displays blood glucose readings pulled from your NightScout instance, in mg/dL or mmol/L.
All settings are managed through the Garmin Connect IQ mobile app or Garmin Express on desktop. Open the app list, find Cinqo III, and tap Settings.
